A linked braking system utilizes a single control to operate both front and rear brakes. When applying the front brake, the rear brake is also activated, although not at full strength, and when the rear brake is applied the front brake is also activated, but again, not at full strength. As an example, the 1998 Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird is equipped with a linked braking system.
