SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.
Removal
Note: The Kawasaki KLR650 uses a quartz halogen headlight bulb. Do not touch the glass of the bulb as this can shorten its life.
Remove the three Phillips head screws that secure the headlight shell to the headlight bracket.
Unplug the three pin plastic coupler and remove the rubber cover.
Push down and to the side to remove the headlight bulb holder clip.
Remove the headlight bulb by pulling outward on it. Be careful not to touch the glass.
Installation
Align the three locating tabs on the headlight bulb with the slots in the socket and install the new headlight bulb. Do not touch the glass of the bulb. Secure the bulb with the wire clip and place the rubber cover in position. Plug the three pin plastic coupler back in.
Reassemble the motorcycle.
