SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.
Exhaust Removal

With the exhaust system at room temperature, remove the exhaust using a 12 mm wrench on the outside head pipe nut and a 12 mm socket with an extension to reach the inner head pipe nut.

Remove the two Phillips head screws that secure the rear brake reservoir protective cover.

Remove the bolt that secures the head pipe to the right side of the frame using a 12 mm wrench.

Loosen the Allen bolt that clamps the head pipe to the muffler using a 6 mm Allen wrench.

Remove the two 12 mm bolts that secure the muffler to rear sub frame using a 12 mm wrench.
Exhaust Installation
Install the head pipe and muffler in the reverse order of disassembly using new gaskets and a thread locking agent such as blue Loctite on the nuts and bolts.
Run the engine until it reaches operating temperature and then let it cool down. With the exhaust system at room temperature re-tighten all the clamp bolts. Run the engine again and check for any exhaust leaks.
