Joint Boot Inspection
SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.
Remove the two bolts on the front of the axle guard with an 8 mm socket.
Remove the bolt on the rear of the axle guard with an 8 mm socket.
Remove the guard.
Check the front axle joint boots for wear, leaks, tears or any other damage.
Check the steering knuckle joints for wear, leaks, tears or any other damage.

Check the front propeller shaft boots for wear, leaks, tears or any other damage. See the Front Differential [3] topic for more information.
Check the rear propeller shaft boot for wear, leaks, tears or any other damage. See the Swingarm [4] topic for more information.
Inspect the tie-rod boots for wear, leaks, tears or any other damage. See the Tie-Rods [5] topic for more information.
