Oil Pipes

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

Removal

Drain the oil and remove the filter. See the Engine Oil topic for more information.

Remove the following engine components:

There are two oil pipes on the left side of the engine.

Remove the three outer oil pipe bolts with an 8 mm socket.

Remove the outer oil pipe.

Locate the inner oil pipe. Loosen the mounting bolt with an 8 mm socket.

Remove the inner oil pipe mounting bolt.

Remove the inner oil pipe.

Locate the right oil pipe. Loosen the mounting bolt with an 8 mm socket.

Remove the right oil pipe.

Use new O-rings on the oil pipes. Coat the new O-rings in fresh engine oil before installation.

Install the right side oil pipe and mounting bolt.

Tighten the oil pipe bolt to specification.

Oil Pipe Bolts: 8.8 N-m, 0.9 kgf-m, 78 in-lb

Install the left side inner oil pipe and mounting bolt. Tighten the bolt to specification with an 8 mm socket.

Oil Pipe Bolts: 8.8 N-m, 0.9 kgf-m, 78 in-lb

Fit the outer left side oil pipe into place.

Insert the three outer oil pipe bolts and tighten them to specification with an 8 mm socket.

Oil Pipe Bolts: 8.8 N-m, 0.9 kgf-m, 78 in-lb

Install the following engine components.
