Fuel System Cleanliness

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

Warning: Gas is extremely flammable! Do not work around an open flame or a source of sparks.

Place the carburetor overflow hose in a suitable container to catch gasoline. Remove the check valve on the end of the hose.

Loosen the carburetor drain plugs with a 3 mm Allen socket and drain the fuel.

Clean the fuel system if any water or dirt comes out; carburetor, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel hose.

Tighten the drain plugs securely with a 3 mm Allen socket. Install the check valve on the end of the overflow hose and return it to its original position.
