Front Final Gear Oil
Inspection
Run the vehicle to warm up the gear oil and drain easily.
Place the vehicle on a level surface. The engine should be off.
Remove the front right side inner cover and lower shroud. See the Inner Covers topic for more information.
Remove the front final gear oil filler cap with a 19 mm socket.
Inspect the O-ring on the filler cap. Replace if needed.
The oil level should be at the bottom of the filler cap opening. Add the same type of oil if needed.

Drain
Remove the filler as described above.
Place a suitable oil drain pan under the front differential. Loosen the drain plug with a 5 mm Allen socket. On earlier 650 models and 700 models a different size socket is required to remove the drain plug.
Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to completely drain.
Remove the sealing washer and discard.
Fill
Note: On earlier 650 models and 700 models a different size socket is required to install the drain plug.
Install a new sealing washer and the drain plug with a 5 mm Allen socket. Tighten the drain plug to specification.

Add the proper differential gear oil into the filler hole until it meets the filler cap threads.

Apply grease to the filler cap O-ring. Install the filler cap with O-ring and tighten to specification with a 19 mm socket.

Rear Final Gear Oil
Inspection

Drain
Place a suitable oil drain pan under the differential. Remove the drain plug and sealing washer with a socket. Allow the fluid to drain completely.
Fill
Install a new sealing washer and the drain plug with an 8 mm Allen socket. Tighten the drain plug to specification.
